Here I am all scarecited and about to hop on the Zoom call for a two and a half hour group interview with a book coach last Wednesday and I am so delighted to share that I made it into her mentoring program! This means I will be dedicating myself to my book project in the next few months with a manuscript done by date of March 17. More details on publishing/purchasing options this spring. Ohmygoodness Ohmygoodness Ohmygoodness.
I opened up the welcome email today from my coach with the link to our shared work space for my book and saw all these glorious deadlines — super detailed to dos some of which I don’t even understand yet like “submit reader magnet” and “submit draft request for advance praise for review” and my favorite “make sure you have arranged your travel plans to the Author castle” for a celebration with other authors this spring.
I had to pause and just let the shiver of pleasure move through my whole body. Taking eleven seconds to breathe in the good. Thisisreallyreal. Thisisreallyreal. Thisisreallyreal.
Do you have any dreams like that? Dreams so pressing and gorgeous that you almost dare not let yourself own them?
Maybe you don’t think you are ready.
Maybe you don’t want to let yourself have a dream again because of all the times you set goals and didn’t follow through.
Or you tried. Again and again, without the results you hoped for.
Maybe you dim so that others can feel comfortable around you.
Yet here is the truth:
This thing you want to create. Your book. Your new biz. Your shining lovely life which feels good to inhabit.
You don’t have to create it all by yourself.
The biggest thing I felt opening that email was supported. This has been a hard lesson for me. I love to hold tight to the illusion I can control it all, do it all, will and bend my life to my liking.
But the more I let go of that and reach for the help I need — the more life blooms in front of me.
Lots of love,
PS I’ll be opening my coaching calendar for new clients after I complete the manuscript and would love to support you in your 2017 goals! You can read all about my signature coaching program + reach out with any questions. I am currently taking new clients for April. xo Courtney
