Paper Bird made from a women's coop in the Philippines

Paper Bird made by a women’s coop in the Philippines. One of many things I love about Austin: it’g giant 10,000 villages store full of fair trade goodies!

How did our neighbors in E. Austin know I always need this message?

Cosmic Cafe

Christmas Eve Meal at the Cosmic Cafe with my beloveds: Coleman (8), Perl (6), Rosetta (4)  + Richard.

What is your word of the year? Last year mine was adventure. I looked for adventure in, under, and through my days. Sometimes it was obvious like during a recent trip my husband and I took to Austin, enjoying nature preserves + urban walks with hidden treasures.

Other days I had to find it– the adventure hidden in a labyrinth walk, a detour through a neighborhood off our regular grooves, and in the flavors of an exotic meal.  Looking for it helped me find my adventure and filled up what I was longing for.

Now it is 2015 and time for a new word.

What does your year want to be for you?

love + all the good,
