Happy Friday!

Today I have a question for you: what does flourishing feel like?

There is so much crazy (not to mention pain) in our world right now and I realized this week that with the launch of my book where I feel invited to step next is to create space for women to focus on and share with each other what feels good.

For years I’ve studied and highlighted the tools: powerful ones like the Enneagram, meditation, and mind-body awareness techniques. And if you are reading The Flourish Formula right now you know that the eight step process is rooted in the most incisive (and practical) awareness techniques I have found. Practices that have the power to change your relationship to just about everything: your work, your body, your intimates, even your spiritual core.

So I love tools, tips and techniques.

But at the same time I find myself yearning to share and hear more about what makes you feel like you are blooming, right here and right now, with life just as it is: full of obligations, choices, pain and beauty.

I think this capacity to savor the good, far from being a cliché, is a vital source of fuel for changing your own life and our communities and world.

So here is a current list of experiences and life moments where I touch and taste my own sense of flourishing:

1.) Choosing the yarn colors for our custom family hammock, which is going to hang in our living room!

2.) Fall feels really different here near the equator – I’m loving that I can still jump in the pool for a midday refresher and yet we get to enjoy the same moody Autumn moon, which hung over us during Day of the Dead Celebrations at the cemetery.

3.) And of course the book. I am so honored that people are downloading it literally around the world (Hello Japan! UK! Brazil! India! Holland! Germany! and more.) And that we achieved the best seller status on Amazon in all three categories of meditation, time-management and skills. Honestly this is better than we even hoped. We had over 800 downloads during the 48 hours of our book launch fueled entirely by word of mouth. That’s you, baby. 4.) Clearly this message of wanting to slow down and accomplish more is resonating and I’m loving meeting women on Discovery Calls and hearing about new life dreams which are emerging: things like starting their family, job prospects which light them up and more. I’m also so inspired by the shifts women who are in my 8 Step Flourish Coaching Program are experiencing — this week especially in their relationship to their bodies and feeling released from long-term stress-related symptoms and pains.

5.) And lastly I’m savoring the feeling of space in my life and time with my husband that has opened in our days now that phase one of the book launch is behind us. (Up next: soliciting “advance praise” for the back cover and preparing to publish the print book in early 2018. But for now… enjoying an exhale together.)
