I’ve been a life coach for almost a decade but I only recently created my own holistic framework for all the various dimensions of life, what I call “life gardens,” and I’m so happy to share it.

These gardens include things like our relationship to our body, to our work/livelihood/money, to our mind/creativity and to our spirituality.

There are also some lesser known life gardens you might not have specifically considered before, like our relationship to time and our home/nest – including the nest within.

If you would like a copy of this new framework, you can find it right here. I like to print it out and keep it around to remind me of all the facets to a full life. It helps me find peace around the goals, dreams and hopes I haven’t yet stepped into fully.

As I created this handout and meditated on all the dimensions of life I was reminded of how ambitious a project it is to flourish in ALL our life gardens. 🌿

Many people find that some areas bear fruit more easily and other life gardens they tend to neglect. This is natural. We all have strengths and growing edges. And in some seasons of life you may find that certain aspects of life are thriving while others are dry and thirsty.

In some challenging moments it can feel like you are struggling in every area: your native goals and dreams choked out by invasive weed voices or inner negative mind habits that keep you stuck. 🌾🌾🌾

I hear you! And want to celebrate with you that your commitment to wholeness is itself a beautiful thing.

I hope this framework helps you make sense of your lived experience — especially the reminder that the fountain which waters ALL the life gardens is in the center. ⛲

It is what I call the garden of self-awareness: where we come to know and befriend ourselves, both our wise essence and our habitual Enneagram trance.

May the reminder of all of these life gardens and the complexity of life help you access some self-compassion too.

You are doing great!

Wherever you are vis-à-vis your goals, almost certainly there are things you have done in your life that you are proud of.

From your current vantage point I invite you to look behind you and appreciate where you have grown.

Just for today, what if that was enough?

What if you could give a little bow of gratitude to all the iterations of you who have brought you to this moment?

And trust that you are in exactly the right spot?

Your commitment to growth is noble and courageous.

Yours,

Courtney
PS if you would like more resources to nurture your life – including getting to know your Enneagram Type trance better, you can grab a copy of my book right here. In it there are links to the flourish kit, a complementary bundle of online resources for readers. It is lots of fun! I hope you will check it out and play with it all this summer. 👡 ☀️
